Manzanar Cemetary Memorial

This monument has become an Icon, inspiring a grass roots movement to remember the sacrifices of the 120,313 Japanese Americans confined by their own government.
The Japanese Kanji characters read "Soul Consoling Tower"
162 Men. Women and Children died in this internment camp. This Iconic monument was designed and erected in 1943 by the Manzanar Japanese.
