Mesquite Flats Sand Dunes at Death Valley CA
The Mesquite Flats sand dunes in Death valley are close to Stovepipe Wells. You can hike (in sand) from the road. Once there you see just how high they are. To get a great image you have to get to the top of the dunes before Sunrise. Going that early will get you the shot with the contrast of dark on the Dunes backside. The wind during the night eradicates most of the left over footprints from the day before giving it a pristine surface. Be sure to take plenty of water. Most medical emergencies there are dehydration.
